About
John Squire has been editing documentaries for the last 10 years. He’s worked on the Natalie Portman and Jimmy Chin produced Angel City docuseries for HBO, that follows the first year of a US women's soccer team as they successfully fight to make their team as profitable and well attended as men’s teams. He also has worked with award winning filmmakers like Lucy Walker (How to Change Your Mind, Bring Your Own Brigade) & Paul Rodgers (Everything Everywhere All at Once) and has edited the Z-Living docuseries Conquered (EPs: Ted Haimes & Nicole Lucas-Haimes), and the soon-to-be-released indie doc Thirty On. He recently moved into directing after years of building stories in the edit bay, and wanted to be the one to ask questions and connect with people. His first documentary, Happy Foot, Sad Story, about an LA icon and the fight to save it, is premiering later this year. He is a graduate of the film program at Chapman University.
